Suicide is increasing . And from the demonic perspective , it is the ultimate act of vandalism upon humans . There is little doubt that as the times get darker and evil increases on earth , that suicide increases as well . Whether done quickly , or over a whole lifetime , suicide origins and ideations are demonic and one must not take ownership of this mindset or impulse . How can we get clarity on suicide ? By looking at the original suicide ! The day that Lucifer decapitated himself !
You see , Lucifer seized HEADSHIP over his own life and being , and in doing so , his actions said ” I am God over myself ! ” He willfully and from the heart cut off God as his proper Headship . For , in the last analysis , willful , deliberate suicide is a LIE !
Before I go on , let me be clear that God alone is Judge . With no intent to be insensitive to any who have been devastated by the loss of a loved one through suicide , let me say that we cannot know that a saint overcome by grief , pain , hopelessness or loss misses heaven by suicide . Is there ever a special Grace for such saints so overwhelmed ? I pray so . For the intent of the heart of saints whose whole universe has become pain or grief quite likely has NO intent to cut off the Headship of God . If there are mitigating circumstances , only God can judge the heart .
So , let’s look more closely at what Lucifer did to himself . Here is Is 14: 12-15 :
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Lucifer wanted to be God’s equal ! Yet he was a mere creature . See how God addresses him in Ezekiel 28: 13-18 :
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
Yes , Lucifer wanted to be on God’s level , and place his throne over the stars of God … the other angels ! For stars in the bible are symbolic of angels in a number of places such as Rev 1:20 , Rev 12:4 , and Job 38:7 !
Of course , the notion that Lucifer be equal with God is a lie ; the notion that Lucifer be his own ultimate headship is a lie , too ! For God alone is over all ! In lying so , Lucifer became a sinner . And in making his own headship higher than God’s Headship , Lucifer made God lower than a liar and lower than a sinner . He profaned God !
In sinning , Lucifer perished spiritually , for God says in Ezekiel 18:4 :
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
So, there you have it : in seizing headship over God , rejecting the authority of God , Lucifer decapitated himself spiritually , committing spiritual suicide . After his fall , he was corrupted to become merely satan . This was the result of his rebellion .
We have the words of Jesus in Luke 10:18 :
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
So, What are the Implications for Human Suicide ?
Certainly , there are some clear – cut implications that can be brought to light .
For the lost person who rejects the headship of Christ all the way to the grave , this represents a life – long seizure of headship from God and becomes much like the sin that destroyed Lucifer . A spiritual suicide that culminates in a total self – killing on every level ! Even ” religious ” people who never quite get around to receiving Jesus can go to hell believing in Christ , for even satan believes who Christ is ! See this article right here .
And what of the Saint of God , indwelt by the Holy Spirit , who commits suicide with clarity of mind and with a disdain for life ? Perhaps even with a spirit of offense towards God ? If this person is NOT enveloped by a smothering fog of all – consuming pain or grief ? I would hope that NO true Christian would do that , but how could it NOT be a willful and deliberate seizure of headship from God ? Would this not put God down below the level of a sinner , much like Lucifer did ? If so , then at this point , we may be talking about sin unto death that creates an impasse with God , as seen here .
It would depend on how God judges the heart of an individual . He tries the heart !
God alone is Judge ; His word gives no point – blank statement of what happens to a Christian who commits suicide . But suicide is a move that offers no ” Do – Over ! ” We must not emulate self destructive behaviors modeled by satan !
I Can Offer My Own Dealings With the Spirit of Suicide
When I lost the Holy Spirit for about four months , I had one night in particular where a demon spirit of suicide was on me like a blanket . I felt a strong urge to commit suicide , and yet , 40 years of prior experience as a Christian allowed me to know INSTANTLY that this ideation did NOT originate with me . I refused to take ownership of this impulse , for that would have been a lie ! The enemy is ALWAYS trying to sell you a lie ! And yet , I had NO power to rebuke this demon and send him away , for Holy Spirit was not in me at that point ! Yes , later I was restored , praise God ! But at that time , my only recourse was to call out to God to send an angel to remove the demon . This event is detailed in my testimony at the bottom of the first page of the blog .
I knew that God hears EVERYTHING , even if he was not in me . It worked ! A few minutes later , the strong urge to end it all faded away . But , there is NO DOUBT that if I had done the bidding of this demon at that time , I would be in HELL ! For I was without the Spirit of God in me .
May we conclude by saying that anything the enemy is trying to get you to do is inadvisable ? That the LAST thing a Saint should do is any form of sin unto death ; and that suicide is just TOO CLOSE to that topic ? Disown any such thought !
If I can go from losing the Holy Spirit and almost going to hell to being restored and joyfully serving Christ , YOU HAVE HOPE in CHRIST !

Dear God : I confess that I am a sinner . I know that you sent your only begotten son Jesus , born of a virgin , to come to this world to bear my sins on the cross and pay my sin debt . I know that Jesus is Divine , and He lived a holy life representing humanity in human flesh . I believe that after dying for my sins on the cross , that Christ rose again the third day following , and has now ascended to Glory . I know he is coming again to earth to rule and reign . Jesus , I accept your payment for my sins . I believe you are God the Savior , and I receive you . I commit to be yours forever . Please come into my heart ; forgive me for my sins and iniquities . I repent from them . I curse and renounce my every sin and iniquity . Cleanse me with your Holy Blood that you gave for me . Give me the Holy Spirit to live in me forever to help me be more and more like you . I give you my heart ! I make you my Lord ; I make you the Head of me . Help me to live more and more for you , and never quit you ! In Jesus’ Name I pray , Amen !
